Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding 

The Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding program is a vital branch of agricultural education. This department was established in 2023 by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj. The M.Sc. (Ag.) program in Genetics and Plant Breeding is dedicated to advanced genetic research and breeding techniques aimed at improving crop varieties. Students engage in cutting-edge research to enhance crop yield, disease resistance, and environmental adaptability. The department offers a wide range of courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, taught by well-trained and qualified faculty members. Department of Soil Science

The Department of Soil Science  was established in 2023 by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh at Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj. In the Department of Soil Science, students delve into the chemical, physical, and biological properties of soil, with an emphasis on soil health, fertility management, and sustainable land use practices essential for productive agriculture. The program offers rigorous practical and theoretical training in soil science fundamentals. Beyond undergraduate courses, it also provides a postgraduate degree program in soil science. Department of Horticulture

The Department of Horticulture is an essential branch of agricultural education,established in 2023 by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj. The M.Sc. (Ag.)Horticulture program is offered to undergraduate students of Agriculture and Horticulture. The department provides in-depth studies in the cultivation off ruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants, focusing on innovative horticultural techniques, crop management, and post-harvest technology. The Department of Horticulture actively supports the farming community by organizing farmer training sessions, fairs, and technology demonstrations in the field. Department of Agronomy 

The Department of Agronomy, established in 2023 by Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh at Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj, is a key branch of agricultural education.  The Agronomy department provides advanced education in crop science and field management, covering crop physiology,sustainable farming practices, and efficient agricultural systems. Agronomy plays a crucial role in soil management, crop rotation, pest control, and understanding climate impacts on crops, all vital for crop growth and food production. The demand for agronomists is strong, with opportunities in farming, technical support, and agricultural marketing. Research in agronomy continues to be essential to develop higher-yielding, pest-resistant crops and improve soil fertility and water quality. The department offers postgraduate programme in agronomy, with state-of-the-art research facilities. It promotes hands-on experience in field-crop management and emphasises sustainable agriculture practices, aiming to balance increased agricultural output with environmental preservation.
